wiak has never said he is an atheist, and it is no-one's business on this forum anyway.

Well....at least that was concise!

If you start to find out if atheism is a religion, then give up trying. I talked about this with an interesting professor about two years ago. Unfortunately, I was sober, and he wasn't very, so it wasn't easy to understand. But he reduced it to the fact that it is not - because there are no signs of worship, there are no attributes of faith. Is atheism (modern) a form of Worldview? Yes, like humanism or naturalism.

Or has wiak brainwashed you, and the others, so successfully!

That's hilarious. I guess he got in line behind the church (name which ever), the government and every single advertising agency on this planet.

Will a brainwash clear out the sinuses?

which again supports ultra right wing fascists obviously in control!

then you're saying your a lucky guy having me in charge instead of some fascists. I appreciate your support.

How is it you never criticize wiak for forcing atheism down everyone's throats and his bullshit way of post-justification, never mind personal attacks!

He's a Scottish guy who has been in the South Pacific sun for a long time. I understand what he's saying. I hear worse stuff listening to 80+ year old's standing around the mailbox on my street. Those guys think I'm a socialist delinquent who had great parents...what ever happened? They give me at least a break because I'll roll their big trash bins to the curb for 'em AND I can fix there computer woes so they can complain about Liberals on Facebook.

with full support of the administration.

Usually I am accused of lack of support. So I'll chalk it up as a step in self improvement.

It's nice being able to have a dialog with forum members living in places where world events are controversial - It's a change from depending on the published media.

When reading what others say from places where freedom of expression may be constrained, one should be willing to read between the lines and also appreciate the willingness of the forum member to post. One doesn't always have to agree with what's said in order to understand what it's like to stand in another's shoes. Nor should one expect other posters are under some sort of obligation to act morally outraged in order to demonstrate their lack of guilt or change the world. Isn't it possible to read what others say without passing judgement?

what's the chance the bs in 1000 rockets went on for 50 pages without being locked by mods was because an admin was leading the charge and setting examples? Now it's delete the subforum so it can't happen again?

Well, if you happen to be referring to me, williwaw: The absolutely most offending anti-Islam/Muslim comments concerning the Quran and Mohammed and so on were not made or agreed about by me at all. Nor was I the person making the comments that Gazans are getting what they deserve because (so the posters claimed) they support Hamas or because, according the OP of that thread, the Bible says what is happening should be happening because of prophecy involving chosen peoples and covenants with god. Perhaps the OP of the thread started it for a particular purpose concerning such claims - I did not.

In fact I purposively attempted to dismiss religious fanatical 'truer truth murderous' arguments, whilst continuously calling instead for empathy regarding the ongoing mass murders of the children, and their families, on both sides. Since my viewpoint was in exact opposition to the OP and his Quran/Islam-hating colleague, I would be accused of bias had I simply deleted the nutcase religious fanatical nature of their posts. I certainly indeed hoped, however, that other moderators would actively deal with their hate speech and delete all dubious posts (including the generic 'nutcase religions' statements I made thus on purpose), and deleting the whole thread was best in my opinion at the end. I thus succeeded in that particular quest.

And, by the way, your own posts came across as bs to me too. Despite perhaps in your own imagination, you did not in fact come across as actually above everyone else, but rather your use of continuous 'raised-eye-like' question marks identified intellectual-pretending bs vanity.

Let's stop the further attempts to resurrect that crap thread, folks, and get rid of that divisive truly-off-topic area so that no one has an excuse to continually re-raise what is already dead. Let's get on with Linux without having to listen to religious, political, fake-intellectual crap.

In light of current events I thought members might find this very first paragraph taken from the MX Linux (a top rank distro) forum rules of interest.

Do not post topics that relate to different genders, race, color, politics or religion. Discussion of these topics can cause problems and quickly degenerate into arguments. This applies to minors (this includes nudity and sex), as well. Do not use swear words, whether directly or masked with other characters. If you have a problem with a mod or another community member here, first try to resolve it privately (through pm's or emails) yourself and if that doesn't work then email us at forumadmin@mxlinux.org to discuss it. Keep personal problems off the forums. Let's try to keep peace among the community and for visitors. Before submitting a post, pause and consider KNIT. Is the post Kind. Necessary, Informed, True.
