Gmail not removing mails for real!

Hi.

I had a strange experience a few seconds ago. Yesterday I removed some mails that I had sent to the trash directory and then cleared the trash, so there wasn't any mails in trash anymore. Right now I had sent some mails to the trash from an online store where I had ordered some cinch cables. I received those cables today.

I'm opening the trash to clear/empty the trash and I found some mails from the beginning of 2019 that I already had removed from the trash manually before the 30 days period of automated removal!!!

So googles Gmail obviously doesn't remove your emails for real. They keep them somewhere stored everlasting and right now just made a mistake, so that I could see those mails.

Is there anything, anyone in the United States that/who is following applicable laws - except private people?

Wow, thats and oldie but goodie. Microsoft waaaay back in W95 did this, and one had to delete anything with a particular extension manually, else it would not go away. IIRC that was in Mail 1.0... outlook fixed that in W98-2. I might screen-capture that and send it in to the authorities just for fun (not). It would appear Google is still not our friend.

I doubt that the German authorities could do anything on that.
German authorities are weak molluscs and tearful sissies.
At least from my experience and point of view.
Except, when someone in the bureaucracy has been insulted by an average citizen.

In fact I never was in the USA. In fact I was two times only in my whole life of 56 years now outside of my country. The 1st time was when I was a child around 10 years old. I was in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) visiting relatives. The 2nd time was when I was 36 years old. I was in France, in Perigort Verte and Dune de Pila. Travelling in France we came through Paris, which was a dirty shit hole. But Perigort Verte and Dune de Pila was very nice. I think, I could live there if I had enough money to do so. But I heavily doubt I could live in the USA - except any location with very less population.

I love Quarantine and Social Distancing. My city in Germany is not that big. Ok, we have some less than 200.000 citizens but it's a range I can live with. Any bigger city I would refuse to live in.

Just to add to the FUD, it's perfectly legal for anyone, including the police, to rummage through your alley trash for whatever they might find. The government might take the position that it's just going through your alley trash when it goes through your deleted gmails that were kept by Google, your friendly trash hoarder.

are you using an email client to manage your emails?

No, I'm going to gmail directly by browser.
My browser's cache is removed/deleted each time after closing the browser.
Sequentially I'm deleting all caches by a script during the OS is running.
