Re: Can't download within Brave Browser

OldMan I got exactly the same problem as you on Bookworm, I guess Brave and run-as-spot aren't playing well together (same with the Brave portable btw). But... I found a trick: In Settings > Downloads enable disable "Ask where to save ... ..." Screenshot.png Then... strange... it does not...

Re: Brave 'portable' - 64-bit only - now includes manual updater from Fred...

What I suspect caused this problem is I had installed Brave on a FAT32 drive to begin with, and Brave had several issues. I subsequently moved it to an ext4 drive. I thought all problems were solved after the move, but the two issues remained. Since these issues did not return when I did a fresh do...

No, I'm not in a very good mood this morning. Re: Google Drive not good place to store software you want to offer for downloading

Several people have posted links to software that they stored on Google Drive. If I click on the link. All I get is the Google Drive log in screen. I've seen that once too (needed to login) but it's not general, the link from here opens for me without login: https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.p...

Re: Peculiar message when updating Brave browser

I get the same result no matter how many times I have run the LAUNCH script. It is also the same result if Brave is running or not. Just one of those 'quirks', I guess. Do other configuration changes to brave persist between boots? Not sure what you mean with 'between boots', it's supposed to be a ...

Using Rox, I go to the directory where the LAUNCH script is located, which in my case, is here:. /mnt/nvme0n1p4/Brave browser/Brave-portable64/Brave-portable64/LAUNCH I then right click on the open space in the file manager, choose 'Window', and then choose 'Terminal Here'. You did correct. But I o...

Re: KLV-Airedale-sr12 with the Void Linux Kernel 6.8.4_1

For info: Today I installed mpv , install seemed to work fine, but didn't run (got some error message about pw_thread when running from terminal). Ok, I associated it (pw) with "pipewire", but ok, decided to upgrade all packages ( xbps-install -Su ) as I initially wanted to do anyway. And...

About theming: I see a lot in /usr/share/themes, but nothing is displayed in Settings > Appearance > Style, don't really understand, I guess these are "just" xfwm4 themes, not gtk :? :?: From the Void repo I can install e.g. Bluebird or Greybird theme and then it can be selected from Appe...

Re: How to build the AppDir from snap package of cctv-viewer?

@dcung it's difficult, there's no general rule ,I think, how snaps are built, experimenting with different paths until it works (for portable) is probably the only way.
edit: perhaps last line without $LAUNCHDIR exec usr/share/cctv-viewer/cctv-viewer "$@"

Let's take your second menuentry as example, as it is: - .squashfs modules are not loaded in RAM (no copy2ram), - changes are directly saved to disk, not in RAM (not used changes=EXIT:/...) If you change to (with EXIT:): menuentry "DebianDog changes to deb_dog , save to folder on demand" {...
