Re: Bluetooth connection to keyboard is lost after about an hour without use

The "Easy-switch" button - is the button I have to push to connect. It doesn't reconnect until I do the things I mentioned.

Re: Bluetooth connection to keyboard is lost after about an hour without use

Flash I'm afraid I'm at a loss. Is there another computer, perhaps a laptop, with Bluetooth that you could use the keyboard on to see if the same thing happens, or a different Bluetooth keyboard lying around that you could use, just for a test? There is another computer. I'll try when I'll have the...

Bluetooth connection to keyboard is lost after about an hour without use

F96-CE The inbuilt Bluetooth program: blueman-manager.bin 2.1.2. Keyboard model: Logitech K380. If I don't use the keyboard for 1\1:30 hours ― the connection is lost. The keyboard is still recognized in the program, and seems to be still connected. I even marked it as “Trusted”. When I click on a ke...

Re: How to reduce sibilants from audio in Puppy?

@fernan - worked. I just lowered gradually from 2.5 kHz and above (you can do that in one motion with the Mouse).
Thanks.

Re: How to reduce sibilants from audio in Puppy?

OK, I made a few attempts. It definitely does something to the audio, but it's not optimal, and I have no idea what I'm doing. Can you explain the numbers, or know of a general explanation? For instance - which numbers will work only on the S sound (highest frequency?)?

Re: How to do De-Essing in Puppy?

@mikewalsh - yeah, like geo_c said. I have a very good and sensitive Hearing; and there's a speech audio - that I can't listen to, because of the sharp S sound. I guess I'll have to just turn the volume very low, or listen with earplugs, or something.

Re: How to do De-Essing in Puppy?

Thanks, but Audacity is pretty big, and I don't need it for anything else (currently 1 file with speech, I want to listen to - and it's hardly bearable). I think there was a good built-in program in Puppy, in the past. It could convert between files of many types. It may have had this filter - but d...

I think the main Audio-Editing native program is gWaveEdit. I couldn't find this effect there. Does someone know how to do this in this program or another?

Re: Java SFS loaded, not detected\recognized by the system [solved]

@rerwin - I didn't understand. In the Terminal code I published ― it says Hello World!.
Currently I only need Java for JDownloader; which I already used yesterday, so it works. I never needed Java Browser-Plugins.

Re: How to install the newest version of Geeqie? {solved, generally; but not the newest}

The 1.6 version didn't work well. Its theme didn't match mine; some parts of the GUI were missing; and It had glitches when I moved my mouse.
But I installed the 1.5.1 version from PPM, and it works; and also shows WebP files.

Re: How to install the newest version of Geeqie?

I've installed Grey's 1.6 version from here. It works, and even displays WebP images! So what else can I ask for? I probably can ask for something, but I don't know what, so I won't ask for anything else.
Thanks all.

Can I know if I can use an earlier version. If no - I'll just use the 1.5 in PPM, or 1.6 by Grey, if it will work?

How to install the newest version of Geeqie? {solved, generally; but not the newest}

[F96-CE 4] Geeqie version in PPM is 1.5.1; the newest available I found in Puppy forum is 1.6 by Grey; and the current version is 2.1. I wanted to use the newest, so I downloaded the AppImage from here (the file Geeqie-v2.1-aarch64.AppImage ; don't know if it's the correct one). I clicked on the App...

Re: Java SFS loaded, not detected\recognized by the system

@albinaguerette

Verify the presence of the "java" executable in the bin directory of the installed Java version

Did you mean /bin/? There's no Java file there.

and set the PATH variable to include the Java bin directory.

Didn't understand this.

Re: How to check drive health - that doesn't support Smart?(solved)

I'm going to have 1 HDD for all my files, and 1 for a backup of all those files, using Grsync. Copying all the files from the old HDD ― there were quite a few corrupt files. So I thought it can be a good way to know when one of them will start to malfunction (since it doesn't have SMART). So my ques...

Re: How to install JDownloader?

Is there another version of Java; not SFS?
The version in QuickPet, 8u251 - is too old right?
And which JDownloader installation file should I use, JAR? Cause the SH file - is what they offer when I click on the Linux download.
