The "Easy-switch" button - is the button I have to push to connect. It doesn't reconnect until I do the things I mentioned.

Re: How to reduce sibilants from audio in Puppy?
@fernan - worked. I just lowered gradually from 2.5 kHz and above (you can do that in one motion with the Mouse).
Thanks.

Re: How to reduce sibilants from audio in Puppy?
OK, I made a few attempts. It definitely does something to the audio, but it's not optimal, and I have no idea what I'm doing. Can you explain the numbers, or know of a general explanation? For instance - which numbers will work only on the S sound (highest frequency?)?

Re: How to do De-Essing in Puppy?
@mikewalsh - yeah, like geo_c said. I have a very good and sensitive Hearing; and there's a speech audio - that I can't listen to, because of the sharp S sound. I guess I'll have to just turn the volume very low, or listen with earplugs, or something.

I think the main Audio-Editing native program is gWaveEdit. I couldn't find this effect there. Does someone know how to do this in this program or another?

Re: Java SFS loaded, not detected\recognized by the system [solved]
@rerwin - I didn't understand. In the Terminal code I published ― it says Hello World!
.
Currently I only need Java for JDownloader; which I already used yesterday, so it works. I never needed Java Browser-Plugins.

Re: Java SFS loaded, not detected\recognized by the system
@rerwin - what do you mean? I didn't change anything in my system. I was asking - what to do? I have jre-8u_371-amd64.sfs
still loaded, since before making this post; that's it.

Re: Java SFS loaded, not detected\recognized by the system
@rerwin - the instructions are very confusing. What do I need to do, keep the Java SFS I have, and only downloading javaif-20230827.pet
?

Re: How to install the newest version of Geeqie? {solved, generally; but not the newest}
The 1.6 version didn't work well. Its theme didn't match mine; some parts of the GUI were missing; and It had glitches when I moved my mouse.
But I installed the 1.5.1 version from PPM, and it works; and also shows WebP files.

Re: How to install the newest version of Geeqie?
I've installed Grey's 1.6 version from here. It works, and even displays WebP images! So what else can I ask for? I probably can ask for something, but I don't know what, so I won't ask for anything else.
Thanks all.

Re: How to install the newest version of Geeqie?
Can I know if I can use an earlier version. If no - I'll just use the 1.5 in PPM, or 1.6 by Grey, if it will work?

So what should I do, download the libs ldd says? And which are those, or how to do the check?
I'll wait with ImageMagick.

Re: Java SFS loaded, not detected\recognized by the system
@albinaguerette
Verify the presence of the "java" executable in the bin directory of the installed Java version
Did you mean /bin/
? There's no Java
file there.
and set the PATH variable to include the Java bin directory.
Didn't understand this.

Re: How to install JDownloader?
It didn't work. Probably because Java isn't recognized by the system.
Code: Select all
# ./LAUNCH
./LAUNCH: line 7: java: command not found
#

Re: How to install JDownloader?
Is there another version of Java; not SFS?
The version in QuickPet, 8u251
- is too old right?
And which JDownloader installation file should I use, JAR? Cause the SH file - is what they offer when I click on the Linux download.
