Re: Weird issues using Gparted

I can confirm this strange behaviour using GParted 0.26.1 on Slacko64 7.0 except for the messages about removing and finding new device. The messages are not literally exactly. It's a small Xdialog or Yad message GUI that appears. The computer is completely new. It doesn't make a difference if plug...

Weird issues using Gparted

Hi. In all Puppies beyond Tahr I'm experiencing weird issues when using Gparted to format USB flash drives and hard disks. Default use of writing and reading of files etc. all went fine. But when I'm starting Gparted I get multiple messages like ( abc stands for e.g. /dev/sdc): Device abc removed. N...

Re: How to view video thumbnails in ROX-Filer?

I have 0install AND Rox-Lib2 installed.
Though, no matter where I put VideoThumbnail, it doesn't work.
I put it into:

/usr/lib
/usr/bin
/usr/local
/usr/local/apps
/usr/local/bin
/usr/share

Any hints/tips?

Re: How to view video thumbnails in ROX-Filer?

It seems kerofin page is dead.

Could not find VideoThumbnail-0.1.14.tar.gz on the net by a quick search.
Without it video thumbnails won't work.

You'll need WINE to run .exe files.

E.g.

Code: Select all

Yes, it does.

These issues/problems/developments are already discussed for some time at linuxmusicians.com.
Some called out for a fork of Audacity already.

Re: Puppy vs amazon: Is “Puppy in a USB” Patently Absurd?

Is this the one?

Yes, this is an older version of Puppy Studio.
There were multiple later versions.

I think the latest is Studio 1337 3.3.
At least that's the latest I've got.

Re: Puppy vs amazon: Is “Puppy in a USB” Patently Absurd?

At least there was Puppy Studio and later Studios like 13.37.
They were sold by having everything installed to a USB flash drive.
At least it wasn't very successful from a commercial point of view.

(Solved) Forum Bug?

Ok, I could solve this. There was another option in the edit field where I could enter an address to be used for the link's text form. Now Firefox shows the right link and clicking it directs me to the opening post now. Seems to be complicated to include Links on archive.org's edit fields. At least ...

Interesting!

That's pretty similar to what I did with my ArtStudio64 (and with the ArtStudios 64/32 I published).

Hot link doesn't work right (Solved)

Hi.

I have posted a link to my ArtStudioX64 topic (German forum) on the ArtStudioX64 page at archive.org.
When I'm clicking that link I don't get redirected to the topic. Instead I'm redirected to the main page of the forum.

What's the problem?

Re: ArtStudio64 XFCE - Released 2021-01-23

ArtStudioX64 doesn't have JWM installed.
I never compiled LMMS by myself and I doubt the latest builds will work in Bionic.
Perhaps there may some issues related to GLIBC version?

At least the nightly built of LMMS 1.3.0 alpha AppImage crashes immediately in Bionic.

So...basically, I can potentially add ArtStudio64 to the same USB as the BionicPup64 USB. Yes.
