Strange Chars in Filenames, how to have normal ?

Hi.

Sometimes there's some strange underlined characters in file names, when downloading videos etc.
Is there any option for a bash script to change those underlined characters to some without these attributes?

See image attached.

I doubt that these are "attributes". Most likely these are "combining" characters. You can remove these invisible and unwanted characters with any decent renaming tool, e.g. MultiRename. May be included in your Puppy.

But before you eliminate the characters you'll have to find out what they are.
You could do this with MMview, which is included in BW64 and F96-CE or can be downloaded from https://oldforum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=109573. When you navigate to one of your funny filenames you'll find the filespec in the statusbar. From the statusbar select a portion of the name that includes the underlined characters and push the SEL button in the button bar. This will give you a character by character alalysis of your selected text.
