What exactly do you want to do?
Are you using Xenialpup 32bit or 64bit?
Ditto what bigpup asked.
You can probably find an old version of filezilla. In my Xenial64 folder on storage I have a 64-bit version and there's one in my 32-bit portable folder which IIRC worked with filezilla. It's likely I assembled both, hunting down any missing libraries. Except for liking filezilla's GUI more, I think gftp worked just as well.
There is another nifty application. But it only works to transfer files between computers on your network. It's called dukto. I think there are others, similar. So knowing your objective will help narrow our responses.
Xenialpup 32bit
I do have this one if you want to try it:-

Rather old, but Xenial is a few years old now.
I have had it for ages and it runs well in Precise or Wheezy Pup
I found that later versions showed warnings in terminal, this one does not.
Did a quick test in Xenial32 and it started with no errors, didn't try to use it though.
This is a 32bit version
Hope oscartalk's pet is satisfactory. There are old 32bit versions here, https://www.fosshub.com/FileZilla-old.html. But the one's I tried under xenialpup32 wouldn't start (nor would the one in my 32-bit portable folder). Some complained about needed newer glibc (can't easily be done). Older ones complained about missing libpng16.
a dukto, 32-bit, deb can still be found here, https://code.google.com/archive/p/dukto/downloads: only useful for transfering within your network.
