I have modded the script to correctly manage txz packages and to handle someway pet packages. The script needs carefull testing. Handling pet packages it should not correctly handle renamed pet packages. I use tar to extract pet packages and so the script should work only if the dir extracted from tar is the same in the name of the pet package.

What was the issue with the previous version over txz? I am thinking in doing a few sfs for Slacko7 so I may be testing this script and the previous version

The Alien2puppy script is a very old script made before introducing xz compression. So I remember. It is a while I have not used this script.
