Posting here since I think useful for all distros on the forum. Was busy working again on using vnc for remote logins to my family computers including (optional) speedup via virtualgl as I described previously: https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic. ... 236#p33236
But have come across a proprietry but free for up to ten users solution that utilizes tigervnc but also pulseaudio for remote sound and allows multi-user logins. Pretty exciting if all works per described: Thinlinc. Arranging all this is really tricky with straight vnc servers, so worth exploring further for some of us: https://www.cendio.com/
I'll finish what I'm doing with straight tigervnc (using ssh tunnel) and try out thinlinc alternative when I can. Apparently it is easy to install on most linux distros and has free download of server and client components. Just hope remains free for small number of users. Of course this is for X windows and not Wayland, though I expect will also work with Xwayland.
