Fossa64Basic Librecad

Post by greengeek »

Note: intended for use with Fossa64Basic (Fossa 9.5 from Ozsouth)
These pets are in testing phase.
Recommend using without savefile.

Librecad 2.13

Librecad is a 2D drawing program that i use for making dxf diagrams that can be used to specify shapes you want cut by milling machines, for drawing house floor plans, and I also use it for testing the geometry of gas strut designs (for opening windows/hatches etc).

I have made a Librecad "minimal" pet that has all the basics i need, but there is also an "extras" pet which adds numerous other fonts and textures etc that I really never use.

Here is the minimal version (F64Bas_Librecad213-minimal_xzgg-0.0.pet):
https://www.mediafire.com/file/vtnqc32n ... 0.pet/file
12MB

Here is the pet of extras (F64Bas_Librecad213-extras_xzgg-0.0.pet):
https://www.mediafire.com/file/siygz18u ... 0.pet/file
7MB

I have left out some other dependencies that were related to networking, wayland and/or avahi as I want to keep the system slim.
(I can make a pet of those if someone has the need)

These are the fonts I kept within the minimal pet as being most useful:

Why not Librecad 2.2.0 ?
It is much improved and not much larger.
An sfs of it would be nice, too. I might try this myself.

Excellent suggestion.
I went with the earlier version simply because that is what was available as .debs via the PPM - but just had a look at the Librecad website and saw their v2.2.0.1 Appimage at this link:

Just tried it in Ozsouth's new "Mid" version of cutdown Fossa and it works well.

Cheers!

@greengeek :-

There's also QCad you could try, Ian. This was forked off of LibreCAD some while back, and is very similar.

I've got portable versions of this, in 32- AND 64-bit, which if you're interested can be found here:-

Just another choice, mate.

Mike. ;)

Thanks Mike - just tested the 64bit version of this in Ozsouth's Fossa-Mid and it worked without a hitch.
Thanks for making all this portable stuff. I'm just discovering 64bit utilities and your portables really hit the spot.
Cheers!
NOTE: Not tested in FossaBasic yet
EDIT: Just tested in Ozsouth's Fossa95Basic and it appears to work without any extra dependencies. Great stuff.
