CD bootable pups/dogs/other recommendations please.

Post by greengeek »

Hi, I like to boot from CD when testing new puppies - mainly because of the age and design of the typical laptops I have accumulated.

Could people post links to their favourite puppies, dogs or other rockforum based OSes that meet the following specs please?

- Released as iso
- Burnable to CD ( ie max size of about 650ish MB)
- 32 or 64bit (My hardware is typically Vista or Win7 era so 64bit capable although I usually prefer the speed and stability of 32bit in my daily usage)
- Keen to hear which pups are still people's favourite daily drivers as well as any much newer pups/dogs that are still bootable from CD.

Any kind of pup, dog or remaster will be suitable. Mainstream or esoteric. Just want to test them all in generic state.

(Link to the download and also to any known thread would be much appreciated...)
Thanks!

Latest Fatdog64 (v. 813).
Its .iso has slightly over 500 Mb.
I didn't try specifically with a CD but it works for me with DVD+RW, including multisession support (on win7 laptop).

I frequently boot from bionicpup64 DVD (Should work in CD also, bionicpup64-8.0-uefi.iso 350M). Download from here: https://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/p ... onicpup64/
