How to remove Redshift from tray? (Solved)

How to remove Redshift (or anything else) from the tray bar?

I can't recall if EasyJWM does that.

Hi @szept ,

just look in EasyJWMDesk, there is a tab called "Tray" or "Launch" - I forgot, I'm not in Easy at the moment, but I know its somewhere in EasyJWMDesk - click through the tabs,you will find :-)

First of all, excuseme, I gonna talk about PuppyLinux XFCE

There is really easy, you must go to your file manager, choose SHOW HIDDEN and go to /root/Startup where you can find the redshift file.

My recomendation is not delete it (just in case you want to activate it again), I usually create a new folder, called DISSABLED and move there what I don't want to start automatically.

I imagine in Easy could be something similar.

I've been looking for it there before I've made this post and I've chcecked that again yesterday - cannot find it there:/

That works fine - thanks! :D

If you go into /root/Startup, right-click on file 'rshift_tray' and choose "Properties", then untick all the "Exec" checkboxes. It won't run if no longer has executable permission. No need to move it away.

I should have advised that in my previous post. Wasn't thinking clearly.

Thanks, but I think it will be more obvious and easier for me to create a folder with appropriate name and move them there. Playing with permissions is not so obvious for me yet:P
