Hi like in subject any chance to add this driver to kernel in puppy? To make force this card work out of box? I use hedphones now becouse i cant setup this on puppy. Card is not showed on my Multiple Sound Card Wizzard. But my hedphones use Sound blaster X G5 and this external card work normal on puppy bionic now, and is on list. I read more forums and i find this. Probably on Void linux work normal, thats why i beg someone to add this drivers to kernel becouse i dont wont any other distro i love my bionic
Here.
Last on that list is my SBX AE-5 sound card.
Or anyone can tell me how to install drivers manualy?
Thanks!

I will see what can be done when I return home from my travels. I'll check the Void Linux kernel for any clues.

What exact specific Puppy version are you using?
Have some device (headset, speakers, etc....) plugged into a port on the sound card.
Post what it does show for detected hardware in Multiple Sound Card Wizard.
It may be identified not the way you think it would be.

The best solution is:
Use a Linux that supports your new hardware
It's easier (from my point of view) to move applications and data to a newer system than to adapt the drivers to the old one.

A little digging and it seems that Linux drivers, as best they can be, did not get into Linux until Kernel series 5.
So change the kernel to a newer kernel 5 series one. Kernel 5.1 or newer.
Drivers are suppose to be in kernel 5.1 or newer.
Drivers, as best they can be, is about the fact that Creative provides no support for Linux, with the drivers they offer.
So hack a driver together, to work with Linux, has to be done.
Again, Linux kernel 5.1 or newer is suppose to have drivers.
Note:
How the kernel is configured, when it is compiled, is also an affect.
Fossapup64 9.5 is basically the update to Bionicpup64 8.0 and does have a lot of improvements.
It uses the kernel 5.4.53
So moving on to a newer Puppy version may be better to try.
One suppose to have solved post, about getting this card to work.
It talked about the card being identified as the generic HD audio device.
They selected that and got it working, with headphones plugged into the output port on the card.
I see card 2 is identified that way.
Try plugging something into the port on the card and selecting to use card 2.
Also run alsamixer and see if anything that could affect sound output is disabled or not set high enough in volume.

Install Fossa on a usb stick and copy Bionic's save/directory file to that stick. If everything is fine then do the same on the hard drive.

I use dual boot but i have difrent hdd on it.
Is this saying Bionicpup is on a completely different drive than the one Windows is on?
So you have two internal hard drives.?
Or are you saying Bionicpup is on same drive, but a completely separate partition from the ones Windows uses?
