Conky is set to update every sec.
It looks like it is flashing info and you cannot read it before it changes.
I changed update time to every 10 sec.
Menu -> JWMdesk -> Conky -> Conky Settings -> Edit conkyrc
Change line 8
To:
This is the time setting I like.
You can set it to anything you want, but if too long a time, it will seem to never update.

I like 2 seconds. Long enough to glance at and get what's going on, short enough to seem in "real time."

But can you read all entries before they change?

I realized a few years ago that I'm actually a 'speed reader.' No really, I never set out to be one, but it's a context scanning thing, I just look for the important info in the context of the syntax.
So I'm not exactly looking at every single process, just those that interest me. Depending how you have conky configed, some info doesn't actually change, like network addresses and so forth.
3 seconds and up actually produces a period of waiting after I looked at what I was interested in.
