Samsung Kies Interface

I was recently given an old Samsung Tab GT-P1010 with Kies onboard. I have been wondering if anything had been developed on Puppy to interface with one of these. a bit strange, it would be useful to be able to update software etc..
I ask because I'm finding from my research and the Samsung forum that there may not be a developed interface for this situation which seems to be a bit strange as both are based on Linux.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
