Also, on my link there is a discount coupon available.

I did not see it on your Amazon (ES) page.

**EDIT** My only thought is, can Puppy be installed on a ROM (eMMC), would it not need to be unlocked first :?:

It include a discount too.

Puppy Linux should run on this computer.

But with such new hardware.

It needs to be one of the newest versions of Puppy.
The Puppy version needs to be using a 5 or 6 series Linux kernel.

May have to get firmware and driver for the WIFI to add to the Puppy version.
That is a constant issue with the constant release of newer WIFI hardware.

All the other hardware should be supported in the newer Puppy versions.

Anyway, any issues I am sure people on this forum could help you get solved.
.
.
I assume you have the monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.......
.
I would do some research for any Linux OS having been used on one of these computers.
That would confirm Puppy should work.

@Jasper / @pp4mnklinux :-

Added <URL> tags to to Jasper's post and the quote in the reply from pp4mnklinux.

FYI:- Please be aware, guys, that the forum software will not always parse URLs correctly.....especially with these enormously long, complicated ones from places like Amazon. You WILL sometimes need to manually wrap them with the <URL> tags in order for them to show.

Cheers.

Mike. ;)

Anything after the /ref= index can be highlighted and deleted - it's nothing more than a series of tracking numbers/codexes, meaning that anyone posting an Amazon reference is also giving away prior viewing details. Try it and see.

Hi-Ya, Mike. Thanks, it's nice to be back. Have been upgraded and now able to get about a lot more! Hoping for a good and interesting year. Got the gardening to accomplish (Yay!) and a lot of wildlife observation/activity ahead of me.

Agree 100% with @bigpup. Puppy SHOULD run, especially once secure boot + fast boot are disabled. However, a frugal install may or may not boot from SD flash memory or an SD card. Depends on the BIOS, but I suspect later BIOS are now more inclusive. To test things out, burn an ISO of S15, Fossapup64 or better still, F-96 to a spare USB and boot it to test out video, audio etc. You can boot from a running windows 11 if you know how. (Details on request). Once the ISO is known to run, use the stickpup function on the menu to install a frugally a Puppy OS to a second USB, but you will need the original ISO file accessible.

I have used several of these Mini-Pcs and they are just great with Puppy Linux. I never use the windows install, just resize the windows data partition and use that for storage of data from the puppy OS. I almost always boot from a USB. In my most recenty setup laptop I boot from a 2GB flash card and put the Puppy OS on the main SSD. LICK will also allow you to boot from the onboard SSD but I would only use this if you are more experienced in making frugal installs.
