Tested OOTB on jrb's Jammypup64 E1. punionfs=overlay passed as kernel parameter as usual, Fujitsu S761 hardware, 2nd gen i5 all intel laptop circa 2012. Ath9k wifi card so no fdrv required. Clean boot and dmesg, excellent idle resource use, very good idle resource use. No issues at all seen in the initial test.
