Frugal F96_3: no audio in Wine (Solved)

I'm using a Frugal install of F96_CE v3 and all looking good.
Per instructions in https://www.forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=6929 I am using the wine appimage "wine-staging-linux-x86-5.11-PlayonLinux-x86_64.AppImage" downloaded from https://github.com/ferion11/Wine_Appimage/releases
The windows apps I want seem to work fine BUT - I cannot get any audio. In the wine config we have the following:
- winecfg_pulse.png (42.31 KiB) Viewed 1336 times
However, I cannot get any sound when I press the 'test' button, or within the respective app.
Has anyone using F96_CE got audio working with their wine install?

Check your source/output & configuration settings in pulseaudio settings, whatever it is called. If one of these is not set correctly, nothing will happen audio-wise. If you arent running pulseaudio, then select another output.
Pulseaudio is very useful but you need to check the obvious. For instance, I sometimes need to set the audio out to the actual browser to get sound.

In some systems, the pulseaudio output device will default to Built-in Audio-Analog Stereo.
Maybe you could try the following:
Wine configuration -> Defaults -> Output device -> Built-in Audio-Analog Stereo
