Here's another simple yad gui I put together to edit metadata tags on media files including adding and removing lyrics and cover art for various formats. You obviously need to have yad installed as well as ffmpeg and ffprobe to use this program. If metaflac is installed that will be the default for flac files. If you want to modify tags of ape or ac3 you will need the apetag program installed. Cover art options for m4a files require AtomicParsley, mp4art, or mp4tags. Cover art options for wv (wavpack) files requires wvtag.

This yad program is for adding or removing metadata from audio files.
When you open a supported file a yad list will generate of the exisiting tags.
You can edit the tag type and name if you want as well as add new tags.

1. If your file is missing some of the common tag types they will be added to the list.
2. If you untick any of the checkboxes the tag will be removed from the file.
3. You do not need to untick the checboxes for the lines you leave empty, those tags will not be added.
4. Click the edit button for many more options.
a. Rename file or files of same type using metadata information.
b. Tag all of same file type.
c. Add or remove gain tags. Requires metaflac for flac, vorbisgain for ogg (libvorbis), wvgain for wv, mp3gain for mp3, or aacgain for m4a or mp3 can use this as well.
d. Attach or remove images from files. Requires -metaflac for flac- -wvtag for wv- -mp4tags, mp4art, or AtomicParsley for m4a- -ffmpeg will work for some audio types-
e. Attach or remove lyrics from a text file if your audio type accepts them.
5. Apetag is required for ape or ac3 files.
