Bullseye - using SCSI HDD <SOLVED>

I have few 'retired' SCSI HDD that I'd like to use for archiving.
For this test, I use a PC (Athlon II X2 255 3.1GHz, 4GB RAM) with Bullseye. Put an Adaptec 39160 that I have lying around.
And it works fine. As I expected, the 'old' SCSI is still heaps faster than my SATA drives.

During boot, there's a message
Waiting for /dev to be fully populated...

It sits there for a good 40 seconds.
What is it doing and how do I 'populate' it quicker?
I looked in /var/log for clues, but not found anything useful yet.

The Adaptec 39160 is able for handle ~32 devices, and I only put one HDD.
Is it scanning/waiting for all 32 ids? If so, how do I tell it to skip it.

I found this
https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... -populated

I changed the timeout to 5 secs.
Works for me.
