@issac99289928 - Need .iso, devx & kernel sources to make this driver (is actually rtl8821cu). I don't have any of them.

@bigpup - thanks for links. I don't feel like downloading 1Gb of stuff & taking the time to do it unless I get feedback that the source I used for the fossapup64 driver works (i.e. the fossapup64 driver first requested is working).

I used slacko v5.7 and am using slacko64 v6.3 and testing slacko64 v 8. I will turn to fossapup64 if slacko64 v8 does not have the driver . I prefer slacko puppy . sorry for inconvenience.

@issac99289928 - no need for sorry - it's just that your slacko v8, isn't used much & I want to be sure the source code works. If you test the fossapup driver successfully under fossapup64-9.5, we will know. (Unfortunately, all drivers are kernel-specific).

@issac99289928, do you know how to swap kernels?
@ ozsouth, which 64bit kernels do you already have the needed driver or can build it for?

tested on fossapup64-9.5 with rtl8821cu-fossa64k5453.pet . used simple network setup and network wizard. the message was as below .
the following new module has been loaded : 8821cu
no new interfaces were detected.

@issac99289928 - that was what I was afraid of - wrong source. I have now made another (v2) for you to try in fossapup64 -
see fossapup64 section of forum.
(Note - frisbee network connection option seems to work best for me.)

@mikeslr - will try to get source right before considering other options.

As of Linux kernel 6.2, an in-kernel driver for the chipsets supported by this driver has been included in the Linux kernel.

kernel 5.x needs community help

@issac99289928 - next time I make a 6.2 kernel (not convinced I can), I could do it with that driver configured in. Kernels generally have to be configured to include desired drivers & may also need extra firmware in the fdrv, whereas the driver I make has firmware compiled in.
