10KLA-OT2basesettings.sfs

All desktop settings files ( KLA-OT2basePLUS-rc5) are collected in file ( 10KLA-OT2basesettings.sfs ).
Some programs are not packaged in sfs (since the installation of these programs is needed as they are needed), you need to install them yourself .Wallpapers,cursors,icons,themes included in sfs.Now the composite manager is present in sfs.
PNmixer has many settings, supports working with ALSA and PulseAudio, there is a function to restart the connection to the sound system (if necessary).
in jgmenu you can now choose the color of the menu itself.There are 15 color schemes in the set.

put the sfs file where all other image files are.
after system boot set desktop background Menu > KLA Config > Wallpaper and missing programs.if you need them.

I like your desktop backgrounds Sofiya, but remember that whilst KLA-OT2 is fully pacman compatible with upstream Arch Linux it is different in several ways related to its frugal install abilities and included small system utilities related to that. In particular, note the Arch Linux TrademarkPolicy statement (extract from their wiki about this):

Aaron Griffin (hereinafter the "Arch Linux Project Lead") and Judd Vinet, on behalf of Arch Linux, own a number of trademarks including "ARCHLINUX", "ARCH LINUX", "A simple, lightweight Linux distribution" and the stylized Arch Linux logo. The trademarks are recognized in both word and logo form. Any mark beginning with the letters ARCH is sufficiently similar to one or more of the trademarks that permission will be needed in order to use it. This policy encompasses all marks, in word and logo form (collectively referred to as "Trademarks").

i.e. also covers any recognized use of their stylized logo. Fine for personal use of course.

The trademark is another reason this distro is not called for example KL-Arch, but rather simply KLA, where the A is a reminder and not misuse of trademark. Hopefully it is okay for us to say Arch-based in description, rather than simply Arch else we would have to remove all actual mention of the upstream distro I suppose, despite the fact we use Arch's official package manager pacman to construct KLA's root filesystem, and on the whole rely on its upstream repos. Plenty Arch-based distros out there of course though whether they needed special permission I have no idea. Puppy should also consider its use of trademark names and/or logos.

Unfortunately, even a 'stylized' variant of Arch logo would violate their trademark, which is a pity since they certainly have a great logo and your backgrounds look good with it.

The permitted use is not entirely clear since KLA isn't intended for commercial use (but could be so used...), but also from Arch Wiki:

If you are producing a new product which is based on Arch Linux but which has more substantial changes than those described above as a Remix, you are allowed to state (and we would encourage you to do so) that your product is "derived from Arch Linux", "based on Arch Linux", or "a derivative of Arch Linux" but you may not use the Trademarks to refer to your product.

In fact my original attempt a few years ago was named WDL_Arch, which I reconsidered once I checked the Arch Wiki information above.

I am thinking we can use the already existing FirstRib/Kennel Linux Arch logo that @wiak originally designed during the WeeDogLinux phase.
Similar to the KLV logo it really is nice and I feel these really represent Kennel Linux very well and have a lot of design potential.

Plus we own them and another reason we tend to use wallpaper backgrounds from photos and images we actually took or made.

Yes, can freely use these, though they are not nearly as nice as Arch logo. Maybe you can distort, transform, fractalise them, and re-color appropriately, such that they merge in like melted butter into the background in some beautiful way. Not something I could do, but what Sofiya posts is pretty nice for starts. Though maybe still cheating since the left (or is it right) ear looks very like official Arch logo (which was the original idea of course... oops...).

Here I will tell you how to change icons in jgmenu

in /root/.config/jgmenu/jgmenurc . Open the jgmenurc file in a text editor .
Find the line : icon_theme = Grade-circle-black , and change the name to your icon theme name

I have it in line 23

Better yet, add the setting to /root/.config/jgmenu/settings.csv
then you can just select in the Arch Config menu "Jgmenu settings" .and change icon theme name.

@fredx181I tried putting the systemd service that causes dialog about whether save2flash wanted or not at shutdown. It uses /etc/rc.shutdown.sh and /usr/local/bin/snap-ex as you know.

Unfortunately, the dialog only appears for fraction of a second and system just continues to shut down. I checked the saveonshutdown service and that seems correct to me so the failure with KLA is odd. However, I know that Arch Linux is a bit odd when it comes to console - in my FR initrd I have various debug routines that with most distros causes the initrd to stop at debug stages and allows users to type in commands to check things. But with Arch Linux boots that has never worked, the keyboard would never allow any entry. Well, I'm not actually using Arch Linux kernel with KLA, so that issue probably doesn't happen (I haven't tried yet), but it does use an Arch Linux root filesystem so I can't help but wonder if something about the way Arch does things makes /dev/console not work as expected on shutdown?

For the moment, in dev test, I am using a workaround that doesn't involve systemd: just have a temporary override for xfce4-session-logout that forces yad dialog regarding whether save2flash required or not (i.e. after pressing Start -> Logout so still in Xfce gui at that stage rather than dialog at console). The workaround works fine for now but I'd like to know solution for saveonshutdown service failure. I have tried various systemd Before/After tricks but made no difference.

I just installed RC4 today. I'll be working with KLA. I like it a lot!

Please don't get confused between November-released KLA-OT2, which uses openbox/tint2/jgmenu, and the new released KLA-XFCE. These are different Arch-based distros. Since OT2 uses openbox/tint2 with Python jgmenu, it uses less resources so better on really old or low resourced machines. The KLA-XFCE is actually its first release so the rc4 version I gave it was just to remind myself where its development fits relevant to current OT2 release. I will be updating KLA-OT2 as well to include logout save on demand check and that will also have rc4 version number.

If you want to submit wallpapers please do so as an svg, png or even good quality jpg. Size is important.

If you are suddenly tired of constantly climbing and turning off the touchpad, I suggest here is such a script to turn off the touchpad at boot
You need to put it in the /root/Startup folder if you have it of course.
well, if not, then put it /usr/local/bin .
