How can I speed up my internet connection?
I am running fossapup64-9.5 on a VMware virtual machine on a Windows 10 laptop.
The internet connection is painfully slow.

What kind of connection?
Wired or WIFI?

Thanks for following up.
The laptop is a wireless connection
The speed coming in the laptop is 22.2 Mbps and the upload of only 4.68 Mbps
And the download speed was so slow in the VM that speednet.net timed out?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion.
What seemed to improve the download speed was changing the "Attached To" setting from NAT -> Bridged Adapter
