@ozsouth :-
Oz, isn't this a standard, built-in module of the k5.4.53 kernel?
I've been using the OOTB Fossa 9.5 kernel with BK's old Quirky April for most of the last year. It was only a few weeks ago - when playing around, and trying a few new ideas out - that I realised I DID have functional wireless in this HP desktop under Quirky!
AFAIK, it's always functioned under Fossa 9.5 anyway. If you recall, you were able to build it for me for Bionic's k4.19.23.....for some weird reason, Ethernet would never connect there. And I never bothered to try fixing it; going wireless was the simpler option, especially with it being built-in.
Mike.
I've noticed that the 6.0 kernel has 4 modules that load for rtw88-8821ce, instead of the 3 I got when I had failures in earlier kernels. Still testing, but it seems that with the right dotconfig & firmware, all the rtw88 drivers will now work.
Later: With rtw88-8821ce, confirmed 6.0 kernel works, as per above. 5.15 I made still failed, regardless of dotconfig.
