Simple GTK Radio working? [SOLVED]

Hi there

I have not been able to use this application and it always stops even if I try the default stations.

Does this function?

Or am I doing something wrong eg need to update url's?

It's more of a niggle but it would be nice to be able to use :D

Hi Jasper - this app also does not work on my fossapup64 system. I suspect it might have stopped working a long time ago.
But - since so much is done via the browser these days it has not been missed really, since I simply use pages like this to listen to radio - https://www.radioemu.com/

@mow9902

Thanks for replying and answering to my message. I thought it might just be me or my hardware setup.

I have tried two different Puppy builds recently and encountered the same problem.

My temporary solution (it works  ) is to find the online radio station's *.m3u8 or *.pls link and then open it with mpv.

I am trying to wean myself of using the browser for some tasks as it hogs the memory. Which is why I liked the inclusion of the smaller applications.

I know you marked this solved, but just fyi, I use fossapup from iso and Simple GTK Radio works for me. I have noticed that if the URL for the actual station is not valid it will stop immediately. I just tried running it today and 4 of my stations worked fine and 1 did an immediate stop. I have to assume the one that stopped is no longer valid (I haven't checked). These are stations I added and not the ones that come with the app as I have never tried those (and expect that since they are older, are probably not valid). For example, the following station worked for me:
http://bigrradio.cdnstream1.com/5195_128|

Yep - I just tried it again. As you say - new stations added seem to work fine.

Okay, I have tried again but it still stops after a few seconds.
I loaded up the BBC playlist and noticed that some of the streams appear to be mislabelled eg BBC Radio 4 says it's the World Service.
Alas, no volume too.

**EDIT**

Doh!!! I didn't realise that I could enter a url via the icon on top. My playlists work now
