How to install NzbHyra2 meta search engine?

Can someone let me know if it is possible to install this application if Java is installed?

NZBHydra 2 is a meta search for newznab indexers and torznab trackers.

I have followed your suggestion and loaded up the Java SFS file.

Unfortunately, I still get an error. Is there anywhere I can get an older version?

Error no 1:
You can use nzbhydra2wrapperPy3.py for Python 3.5+:

If you cannot run the executables for some reason, there's another way (the executables are just compiled Java):
Download nzbhydra2wrapper.py or nzbhydra2wrapperPy3.py, put it in the NZBHydra folder containing the executables and run it with Python 2.7 or Python 3.5+, respectively.

Error no 2:

The Java executable is expected to be in the PATH. If it's not and you can't/won't put it there then you need to provide the full path using the --java paramater.

Check in console path to java:

Code: Select all

which java

and try:

Code: Select all

nzbhydra2 --java path-to-java

Try 1:
1. Click RMB on java.sfs and choose load_sfs from menu.
2. In console run:

Code: Select all

which java

If you get path to java it mean that java is visible.
3. Give executable permission to nzbhydra2 (RMB on that file and choose Permission option) and in console run:

Code: Select all

./nzbhydra2

Try 2:
1. Click RMB on java.sfs and choose load_sfs from menu.
2. Give executable permission to nzbhydra2wrapperPy3.py and in console run:

Code: Select all

./nzbhydra2wrapperPy3.py

or:

Code: Select all

./nzbhydra2wrapperPy3.py --java path_to_java_from_which_command

Thank you again for showing me the steps that I need to execute the application.

Once the Java SFS file is loaded and I type in "which java", it fails to give me a response.

I followed the additional steps, but no joy.

So this is a problem with SFS. I have similar problems with SFS made in the old Puppy and running on the new one.

I use my own SFS files with Java. In older Puppy (like Slacko 6.3.2) there was a utility to make your own SFS with Java.
