How to update Vanilla Dpup?

Hi there

I am interested in trying out this build and am a little confused as to how I update this.

My question is, do I need to download the ISO every week or is there another way to update the current fixes?

You update by replacing vmlinuz, initrd.gz, ucode.cpio and *.sfs with those from the new ISO.

And you don't have to update every week if you don't want to - it's safe to update from 9.2.x to 9.2.x+4, for example. And if you don't care about bug fixes and security updates, you don't have to update at all.

Thank you for the answer and explanation.

I will try it out and look at the ISO contents and try this out myself.

I do have one finally question. If I create a "save" file, will this be picked up and useable following the update?

Yes, you can keep using the same save file.

@dimkr what is unicode.cpio?, usually it's *.sfs, vmlinuz, initrd.gz right?
