Screen flicker using BionicPup 64

Hi
Puppy is working fine on my two Dell Poweredge 1850s with the exception of a screen flicker every 8 seconds or so. I have had one completely garbled screen when selecting hardware info and battery which necessitated a reboot so not sure if these issues are related.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this please? On earlier versions of Windows when I had this it was a display driver problem.
Regards
Graham

Wow, that's a tough one.
All I can think of is....
1. Try a different OS on the affected machine, just to see if you get the same problem
2. Check the video driver
3. Switch between Xorg and Xvesa when booting Puppy, and also different screen resolutions, to see if that fixes it. I've run across machines where one works great and the other doesn't, so maybe this will help.
4. I have run across rare cases where different releases (versions) of Puppy give different display results, so you might try a different puppy version and see if that helps.

Thinks: appears to be s/ware not h/ware as both units suffer the same flicker.
собака.

Please provide this info so I can see exactly what the hardware is and what driver is being used.
Pup-SysInfo -> Devices -> Display -> Summary
Is the resolution setting and refresh rate being used, the same as the monitors, default resolution and refresh rate?
