Over the course of a few past weeks, there have been some discussions on package management (PM) in varied PUP threads.

In one of those threads, a video was posted referencing someone who is doing PM research and reporting.

... for all users and developers on this Puppy Linux forum, you might find this video of interest for Package management as a simpler solution.

.
Well, that author is confessing that he was wrong in his finding as he indicates in this new video, his current position on PM. If may or may-not pertain to any specific PUP-DOG in this forum. Thus its value will vary by both distro developer and distro user.

I have NO position one-way or another, yet I understand the history and the importance of good PM.

This is provided for anyone's review. The varied PUP distros across the forum use PMs unique to each.

Although not a new subject, but this year in Puppyland, there has been much concern about what to do about Puppy Package Management (aka PPM). It is debated in the forum, it is in GIT, and now I've found a Video Challenging how packages are handled with a very interesting request for solution, here.

The Video is titled " Why Is The Arch User Repository (AUR) ONLY for Arch"

It points to the package problems faced in PUppyland.
