EasyOS is my favorite OS!
Thank you!

All EasOS's detect on DELL XPS 17 9700 only HDMI outputs and no sound at all!

Intel Comet Lake PCH-H - cAVS
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller
Device ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_06C8&SUBSYS_098F1028&REV_00\3&11583659&1&FB
NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

Other latest Linux Distributions as Endeavour, Linuxmint, Lubuntu detect
Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller
and Intel Comet Lake PCH-H - cAVS and I have a sound!

Will you help me to resolve the issue?
Thank you!

Apparently very new system with oddball sound chip. Imagine you will have to compile a newer kernel with sound support activated for this. Not uncommon when converting Chromebooks though I know yours isnt a chromebook. Somebody offered a special cutting edge kernel for Fossapup on a chromebook thread. At time I didnt want to download it as I was running low on metered data that month. MX21 worked so just used it. No idea if that Fossapup kernel would work with Easy or not. Also BarryK is eventually going to release new version of Easy Bookworm edition so maybe it would support it out of box? Depends what kernel he uses and if its compiled with support for your sound. My take, easiest way is to use some linux that does support sound on your machine and uninstall stuff you dont want. Or try Fossapup with that special kernel for chromebooks. Might be able to use that kernel in Easy, but I really dont know. Probably have to compile it especially for Easy.
