@dimkr you have some cool things you've done running jwm inside Xwayland in vanilla upup, im wondering how I could do the same thing on my fossapup install? If you're willing, would you share tips for where the changes you made are to make this work so I can copy your work and hack it into my install

All Wayland-related Puppy development happens in https://github.com/puppylinux-woof-CE/woof-CE. You can find a high-level overview at https://github.com/puppylinux-woof-CE/w ... nd-Support and track individual issues or changes in https://github.com/puppylinux-woof-CE/w ... projects/1.
Fossapup is way too old for anything Wayland-related. The Wayland-related packages in Ubuntu 20.04 are old by now, and you won't be able to build the missing packages or build the latest versions of everything. I don't think it's a good idea.

The efforts over the last 2 years with @dimkr and, in general, the PUP developers on GIT, intends to maintain PUPPY Linux with the current technology such that it provides a better user experience with LInux changes and the manufacturer changes occurring.
Wayland, as well as Pipewire are 2 things to make our use experience current, invisible, easy to understand, and easy to use.
I continue to applaud their work and am consistently amazed at the attention to detail that they provide as PUPPY matures into the future.
