Watch your videos via the DuckDuckGo or Bing websites. No need to go to the youtube website. No ads either.

Go to the duckduckgo.com site. Search for youtube whatever. Click on the video tab and then click on the video you want to play. A window will open with the player. I think you need to confirm your settings there at first run (only need to do this once) . Bing works basically the same.

Terrific option here.

It's an option but unfortunately not a very good one because it uses youtube's embedded feature which results in many, many videos that can't be played. Last time I tried that I couldn't watch ANY of the music videos I wanted to play. Youtube's embedded feature is very limited.

Well I have found a workaround. There's an application called freetube which can be used to watch youtube videos smoothly without any lag :o :o

Here is the link to the the download file (works on 64 bit puppies only)

And after downloading you know what to you, so I am not going into much details.

Hi:

If you want an app, try mpv https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv. Other web option is, https://piped.kavin.rocks/.

Hope it helps.

Pika

SMTube also works great for me. Might even be on your system perhaps (/usr/bin/smtube)
