Still testing a new clean frugal install of Fossapup64, updated via petget.
Using:
Install Applications - Choose an sfs from the official repo - gimp-2.10.xxxxsfs installs but when run, fails silently.
Opening console:
Code: Select all
root# gimp
GEGL-Message: 20:49:57.530: Module '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gegl-0.4/matting-levin.so' load error: libblas.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
thread panicked while processing panic. aborting.
Illegal instruction

@vtpup :-
Needless to say, I've got a portable version of G.I.M.P v2.10.25.....if you're interested, like:-
https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=3574
Based around the AppImage builds over at Github by aferrero2707. Should run in any 64-bit Puppy, with the possible exception of Tahrpup64 (not sure about this one; haven't run Tahr64 for a long while). Up to you, of course....
Mike.

Well thanks Mike. Finding a Gimp that will work isn't a problem. I just felt it was important to post that the official Installer version sfs for Fossapup failed. At least for me.

I have that gimp-2.10.18-x86_64_9.5.sfs file from the official repo. It refuses to start but works after these commands:
Code: Select all
ln -s blas/libblas.so.3 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libblas.so.3
ln -s lapack/liblapack.so.3 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/liblapack.so.3
I've added the symlinks into the sfs so I can use it without the savefile.
