Hi ayush,

0bda:f179 is the rtl8188fu driver.

The driver is located on this page https://sourceforge.net/projects/zestyp ... c/drivers/

The driver you want is rtl8188fu-lxpupbionic32-4.9.163-pae.pet

The driver is a PET file. After downloading, click on it to install.

edit: Hopefully, dogcat who posted above while I was writing is correct. :)
Balance of post deleted. Thanks rcrsn51 for pointing out the significance of vendor:product ID codes.

I'll try to remember to use them in searching before 'jumping in'. :)

Unless I'm mistaken...

You are. This has nothing to do with rtl8192cu. Ayush correctly identified the device by its vendor:product ID codes and dogcat correctly identified the matching rtl8188fu driver.
