Flashpeak-Slimjet ?

I saw this item about the free browser Flashpeak-Slimjet (usually referred to as just Slimjet) -- https://borncity.com/win/2018/03/26/is- ... -backdoor/

Anyone know anything about it? The article suggests that Slimjet may contain a backdoor to exfiltrate info from your computer.

I did some googling, but about all I could find is that Slimjet is closed rather than open source, even though it is ultimately based on Chrome.

Anyone know anything about this?

I'd like to use Slimjet, but I'll pass it up if it really does have any malware characteristics.

Thank you.

Im using slimjet 38 portable make by @mikewalsh and I'm pleased with it, although it gives a starting error because of the starting code (a start option not acepted --no sandbox)
