Here is such a dilemma. If you store passwords in the browser... they will be stolen. And if you type from the keyboard every time... well, you get it :)

Fossapup OS, Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, 64 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB, Sound Blaster Audigy Rx with amplifier + Yamaha speakers for loud sound, USB Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro V3 + headphones for quiet sound.

What about using...

1. Using 'onscreen keyboard'
or
2. Using 'copy & paste' the p/w from text file stored in the cloud

Just some of the scans that can be measured/recorded include ...

Locale (country, timezone etc), cpu, browser version, plugs and versions, OS and version, screen size/resolution, battery/mains (and battery level), download speeds, ISP, external IP, social media info, typing speed, mouse motions etc. Only just some of those are sufficient for analytics to pin that down to individuals. Individuals profiling can associate different devices/locations. A database of 8 billion records of individuals and device/location association can then record activity.

The failure is not so much those doing such spying, but rather the governments for permitting commercial entities to freely do such spying. But most don't care, are all too eager to run other peoples code on their box/device (such as javascript) and/or tick the yes box to accept such spying.

In principle, not bad. But let's return from heaven to the sinful Earth :) And if the tricksters start tracking cursor movements and controlling the clipboard?
