Repo with lots of AppImages

Post by mikeslr »

Stumbled upon this elsewhere on the Forum. Thanks, 666philb.

Links to many AppImages, Categorized and Search-able. All based on Electron --IIRC, underlying Chromium code. So may require script with 'run-as-spot' or 'no-sandbox' to run.

This is another one, https://apprepo.de/

The only snag I found with 'apprepo.de' is that every package on there has been built by somebody running a bang-up-to-date rolling distro.....with a similarly new build environment. So most are looking for something like 'glibc 2.43' or 'glibc 2.44'.....and of course, there aren't any Puppies with stuff that new yet!

(*shrug*)

Cheers for your Inkscape 1.1 appimage @mikewalsh - downloaded just now and working a treat in Fossapup64! :)
(OTT hmm why can't I "mention" - perhaps this latest autoupdate of Chrome, and its net-nanny-state limitations (grr downloading into spot, etc) is to blame? rant over)

Glad to hear it's working for you, mate. This is, of course, the "full" Inkscape, rather than the 'lite' version that Puppy usually ships with.....and, as a portable build, is designed to work from outside Puppy, thus saving space in the 'save'.

(The last couple of Chrome releases have had one or two 'glitches' in 'em. The most recent release, v100.0.4896.127 - posting from it now - seems, thankfully, to have settled down again.)

Mike. ;)

appimagehub has 'cutereport v1.3' fairly compact and self-sufficient at 28Mb. (Includes Qt5)
