The Getting Started Section

Post by amethyst »

Well done, guys. I've just checked it and like it because it's simple and brief (for example the dual-boot with Windows). Makes it really easy for a new user and it's a smart move to only mention the one method (LICK in this case). Easy to understand (even I can) :P

any ideas you have for something needed to be in Getting Started Section.

Please provide a topic we could move there.

Everyone is welcome to provide a topic.

This section is kind of turning into a general FAQ for Puppy Linux.

Any topic you want to offer.
Post it in this section of forum.

Here it can get tweaked, before putting in Getting Started Section.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

I'm trying to see it from a completely new user point of view. Personally I would not go with the LICK method for example for dual-booting (because it overwrites the existing boot record) but I can see why it would be appealing to and an easy solution for a newbie.
