I strongly suggest removing the unsorted sub section from Additional Software(Pets n' Stuff) section.

Unsorted was in the old murga puppy forum, used when work was being done to make subsections in Additional Software(Pets n' Stuff) section.
Everything was in Unsorted, until what needed to be moved, to the different subsections, was moved. A lot of really old, outdated stuff, just stayed in Unsorted.
Unsorted section, became a archive of everything, that did not get moved, to specific subsections.

Any new posts to Additional Software(Pets n' Stuff) section, need to go into the appropriate subsection. only!

But that supposes that there already is an appropriate subsection and that it is obvious. The problem with Unsorted on the old Forum was that there was too many posts to be moved and not enough people to move them. Users don't have the authority to move posts. Suggest that the Unsorted Section remain, but with the understanding that posts in it will be moved to an appropriate section. Someone should have the authority to do so.

If you know a better place for a post that's in the unsorted section, send a moderator a PM with a link to the post and an explanation of where it ought to be. The link to a post is found by right-clicking the little gray rectangle to the left of the word "by" at the top left of the post, then choosing 'Copy Link Location'. Paste that into your PM.

Wine itself has nothing to do with Virtualization. Maybe just a Wine subforum in software section.

There was never a unsorted sub section in the old forum.

Maybe you can understand this.
The old murga puppy forum, about 10 years ago, had all software in one topic named Additional Software.
All software mixed up together.

The original Additional Software section was renamed to unsorted.

A new fresh, empty, Additional Software section was made.
Pizzagood sub sectioned, the new Additional Software section, into the subsections, it now has.
Then software topics were moved, from Unsorted, to the different subsections.

The unsorted section was the archive of everything that had been in the old Additional Software section. It stayed that way, as the archive of what never got moved to a specific subsection.

If you want to put something in the Additional Software section.
You should be able to figure out it goes in one of the specific subsections.
If unsorted subsection is not there.
You have no choice but to place it in one of the appropriate subsections.

In this new freshly started empty forum.
Unsorted has no use, unless rockedge wants to be the only one to put posts of software, where they should be, to begin with.

Currently there is only one post under Unsorted, Mine which has the Title "AppImages, Snaps and flatpaks". See nic007's post about 2 posts above this regarding where to discuss programs running under Wine. I think it makes a lot of sense for there to be a specific Wine Section. But even as is, there's still some logical place to locate discussions about programs Puppies can use if Wine is installed/loaded.
That's not the case with AppImages, Snaps and flatpaks. Conceptually, discussions about them fall somewhere between "Package Collections/Repositories" -- where to find them; and "Wine" --discussions about how to overcome difficulties and what are useful programs.
Specific AppImages which run OOTB or with a little finagling could be posted to a Category Subsection. Installing Snaps & flatpaks might be located in the How to Section. And, I guess 'trouble-shooting' --unpacking, adding libs, repacking AppImages could also be located in the How To Section. Still, I think a Specific Section under Additional Software could serve the useful purpose of cataloging/linking to posts elsewhere. And frankly, locating "How to's" and "Trouble-shooting" AppImages, Snaps and flatpaks is just going to make finding information in the How To Section more challenging.

Why are you thinking AppImages, Snaps and flatpaks are any different than a pet, SFS, deb, zip, etc..., package of a program?
Example:
Firefox browser packaged in any package type. (AppImages, Snaps, flatpaks, pet, SFS, deb, zip, etc...)
It would go in the browsers and Internet subsection of Additional Software.
It is a browser, just packaged in different ways.

There are already 4 topics for Firefox in Additional Software.
Each one is a different package type and different version of Firefox.
Some specially packaged, for specific Puppy versions, modified, etc.....
