I have a question ?norgo .
When I load a movie into Avidemux it is maybe a 2 hour movie but only 18 minutes loads in and can be played /edited etc . Then if I save that the rest of the movie is lost .
That means it won't do what I want it for , to cut rubbish out of movies that idiots have inserted into it to advertise their gambling shit.
Why does it not load the whole movie in?
@April
confirmed
get an "invalid timestamp error"
thank you for reporting
@norgo
I thought you were jokeing mate .
The error I was getting turned out to be a bad copy of a movie I had downloaded from the net which had glitches in it at various places put in I suspect by the betting site that adulterates all free torrents at the moment.
@April
sounded like a joke indeed but was a bad coincidence only
When I read your report I took a large videofile for test.
Unfortunately this file had invalid timestamps so avidemux stoped working at these frames.
A 2nd and 3rd test with other video files went without problems.
all-clear
Sorry . Not well put by me .
I did not understand what you meant but I think you are right in that an invalid time stamp will stuff things up.
Thats what I must have had when I ran my large movie.
Ill correct the above .
What I would like to know is where can I find more info on time stamps in avidemux .I have searched and not found much at all.
