SDRPP installation in puppy

Post by Anacleto »

Hello I bring here a new SDR program called SDRPP or SDR ++

Like the previous SDR programs that I have put in previous post, I have only been able to verify that they work properly in the latest versions of QuickPub64_v22_xx

For installation, the following pet files are required:

main program SDR++v1.0.4_x86-64.pet

https://www.mediafire.com/file/t3rfzeh5 ... 4.pet/file

PET file with libraries and dependencies SDR++v1.0.4_dev_x86-64.pet

https://www.mediafire.com/file/2dl1p1dd ... 4.pet/file

And the PET file with SoapySDR-0.8.1 --- SoapySDR-0.8.1-x86_64.pet

https://www.mediafire.com/file/oldsz4wv ... 4.pet/file

This version of Soapy must live with the SOAPY.0.7.2 version with which other programs such as CubicSDR and GQRX work, therefore it should not be uninstalled

In addition to its operation it will be advisable to be unallated the following programs that are in the previous SDR programs posts.

Gnuradio, CubicSDR_dev and Gqrx_dev.

I hope it is useful.

Regards.

To make the program start to work when we open it, we must have our device connected in my case is a dongle.

To configure it we must go on the program screen on the left top of the whole, we find the Source button, if we press it with the mouse, we are displayed for a window, in my case when having a dongle will select RTL-SDR and then choose in the below window: Generic RTL2832U OEM.

And this is all, we will press the PLAY button and then we will start hearing the stations.

Regards.

Hi Keniv

@ keniv

To create an icon in desktop of this program you go to:

Menu> Education> SDR ++

And with the right mouse button, press on the icon and select "Add to Desktop".

And you will be created the icon in the Desktop.

Hi Anacleto,
I've installed your recent .pets and SDR++ is working. Thanks for the tip on getting a desktop icon. Previously I had been going to usr/share/applications and copying the .desktop file to the desktop. Three SDR programs all working in one pup is really quite a feat. Well done. I'll have a go with it in Fossapup with apulse and see if it works.

Regards,

Ken.

Edit: No luck in Fossapup. Get the error shown below.

Code: Select all

root# sdrpp
sdrpp: error while loading shared libraries: libGLEW.so.2.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
root# apulse sdrpp
sdrpp: error while loading shared libraries: libGLEW.so.2.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

As you can see get the same error with or without apulse.

Hi Keniv.

Thank you for your testing of the program .

I was only preparing it to work in QuickPub64, surely this will not be the only mistake, it will has more mistakes, I will look if I can solve them.

Three SDR programs all working in one pup

Three..... no .... Four..... Sdrpp, CubicSDR, Gqrx and Spektrum ..... :D :D :D

Ok Ken I hope you find it useful.

Regards.

I stand corrected, as you say four SDR programs. Please don't waste your time trying to get it working in Fossapup. I just thought I'd try it to see if it would. I'll spend some time on SDR++ in order to get used to it. I found a link on the web as to how to set it up and so I'll start with that.

Thanks again,

Ken.
