By no means "modern". Fukubukuro is an old Japanese tradition and still very popular. Mostly found in clothes shops at New Year but nowadays you can find them in shops where you wouldn't expect them. Just today I saw them in a bakery

Modern "way" sounds like method, not contents, but since video cards were still very rare in the Meiji era and therefore seldom ended up in grab bags you have a point. No need to change the topic

I see YouTubers fix broken stuff from Amazon, but never see actually "How" to actually buy them.

Would be curious for old handhelds, etc, personally like Gameboys, etc.
