I did discover in the last days an absolutely great + in the (in my opinion) ugly xfce:

the keyboard settings work perfect AS WELL AS UNIFORMLY in a lot of different distributions (perhaps in all distributions) and give so an ideal writing environment for people having to use more than one keyboard layout to work fast and very efficient

for ex. you can easily configure dpupbuster64-8.0.0-XFCE-4-12.5-18112019 so that you very complex keyboard configurations using layout options (that is one of the difficulties: keyboard layouts WITH options are not fully compatible with other input methods!!!) and select yourself the keys combination you are prefering to commute the one to the next keyboard (for ex. windows key left, or CTRL left + SHIFT left, etc.).

this function is so important that it can be a good reason to renounce to a smart appearance to spare a lot of time.

an installation's kit for xfce4 for each 32 bit, and 64 bit (as dpubbuster is really the exceptional exception to offer as much different versions with one version with 64 bit and xfce4 included), would be welcome as for a lot of puppyists 32 bit continue to be the more actual option  !

I sort of wonder what you mean by "kit". Peebee is releasing ydrv including XFCE though I do not know how customized they are, i.e., the difference between simply including XFCE from the PPM vs. customizing a distro which isn't a casual task: http://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?f=144&t=2736

Goodly seems he's on LXQt now instead of trying to keep LXDE alive.
