Hi @garnet .

YES, it is the same 'qemu_gui' that gets installed from the respective PUPs.

This particular error is different as when it launches, instead of the expected launching cli of "qemu-system-x86_64 ..." the gui launches an erroneous incomplete command "qemu-system- ..."

Thus, the GUI seemingly is in need of some attention since its inception in Puppyland of few years ago.

Thanks in advance of any recommendation. I think this or some GUI is an advantage for those users who merely want to easily Pop-up a PC for tests while the main system is running. This is why I post to try to make is simple for user use.

Thanks Garnet.

Ah, I see! I wonder the need to post two separate threads for the same issue, but that's okay, I do that too sometimes ^_^

Since there are so many versions of Slacko floating around (⌒_⌒;) do you think you can upload the script that you personally use, here, for others to look at, and perhaps, fix?

Thanks @garnet

I had dropped back from testing Slacko-v005 (an alpha from @01micko ) to running the Slacko-v821. v821 is using "QEMU emulator version 5.2.0" whose 'qemu_gui command' does NOT exhibit this problem. Thus, I am assuming the problem is use of the command is isolated to v0005, which I am reporting.

Since v005 is alpha as Slacko64 moves to beta/GA, this is merely one of the problems (and there are others) that would be fixed in the next release with newer Slackware component integrations. I believe its author is also one who runs QEMU for certain tests, too.

I'll wait for the next upcoming release.
