@rolandradio :-

Perhaps one of my 'portable' packages, as found here:-

The ESR versions as published here are FF91. I can't guarantee they'll work in the Slacko 6-series, but you never know until you try..... Worth a try, I would have thought. :)

Mike. ;)

Roland,
With Firefox, those libs look like the ones that are inside the main firefox directory. If you are doing a dependency check they may appear to be missing but in fact they are NOT, because they are made available so long as you start firefox correctly (it knows where to find them).

For VLC, it needs to be compiled in the same environment as the one in which you are running it (or at least with library versions that match). There is a dependency on ffmpeg which in turn can have dependencies on other libraries such as libx264. Since VLC uses lots of plugins for its functionality, it may start but some things don't work as expected. Bottom line is that you need to obtain a suitable build of VLC (suitable for the specific Puppy). Hunting for libs that appear to be missing may work, but is not the ideal way of approaching things.

Firefox is running, while version 78.6 won't start and something is missing, but the right version in this case is Firefox 57 Quantum is working, then auto update (firefox about) it's now updated to version 72.2.
From version 72.2 I can auto update to 94.x.

Solved !

VLC is working but It was the Graph resolution, and also no full screen possible, that's why it plays extreemly slow and with black bars in the video.
Main settings is 1280 but GUI fit programms only in 1024.
The libraries such as libx264 are there but "Check dependencies" think's it's not there.
