While we are waiting for your response or you are waiting for our further advice, take a look at rockedge's post here, viewtopic.php?t=374. Although it is specifically about setting up bionicpup for that purpose it notes "These steps will work in every Puppy from Lucid 5.2.8 upwards."

@ramonriera There is also XAMPP. Works well in Puppy's. Easy to install there is also an SFS for the version with PHP 8.

Here is the SFS versions for download. I tested this in WeeDog and in a Fossapup64 and should work also for you.
