Liquorix Kernel

a very small Live CD shaped to look and act like Puppy Linux.

Liquorix Kernel

Post by fredx181 »

*** Liquorix Kernel ***

Here's a kernel 'package' for the Liquorix kernel 64-bit 5.14.0-17.1-liquorix-amd64 for Bullseye or Sid (NOT for Buster(dog) or earlier)
Extract in the 'live' folder (initrd and vmlinuz files should be overwritten, better backup originals first), and reboot.
Made from the latest .deb package here: https://liquorix.net/debian/pool/main/l/linux-liquorix/
If someone wants a 32-bit version, just tell me.

Liquorix is a distro kernel replacement built using the best configuration and kernel sources for desktop, multimedia, and gaming workloads.

See: https://liquorix.net/

EDIT: linux-headers-5.14.0-17.1-liquorix-amd64_5.14-22.1.bullseye_amd64.deb, here: https://github.com/doglinux/sid/release ... _amd64.deb

I set up a machine with the Liquorix kernel and got the headers package. I was surprised at the small size of the headers - with Debian kernels, you also have to get a "common" package which is much larger.

But I built a few wifi drivers after updating their sources to k5.14 and they worked fine.

It's for Bullseye or Sid (using "overlay" instead of "aufs" for the layered filesystem) not for earlier Debiandog.
