Greetings Once Again!

After analyzing the situation it has been decided to press forward with this forum and utilize the upgraded software
to our member's benefit by continuing to operate it for the the long term.

It is good to see the original John Murga forum once again up and running, binding a community together.

Long Live Puppy Linux.

Good decision, to be honest I was shocked that there would be any idea of going back to a forum with 15 year old software which is not up to todays demands and probably not that upgradeable - it is nice it is up again and we can access valuable knowledge but we have to be practical and move forward with this modern one which is easy to maintain. Sorry to be so blunt.

Anyway look forward to the future Puppy wise.

I suggest that the search function for this forum be extended to include the old forum or at least have the option to also search the old forum. Also maybe that a search on the old forum (from this search engine) displays as a new window/tab.

We have jamesbond to thank for figuring out how to bring it up again. I just did the negotiating to gain login access.

Note, James has downloaded everything, 20GB! So we do have a backup just in case.

And yes, avoid hitting the site too hard, as I have received a warning from Linode that have exceeded the allowed bandwidth.

It's great that we haven't lost the content of the Murga forum, but I'm all for forging on with the new forum!

A note while I think of it: jamesbond has paid US$60 to Linode for one year of hosting, so we owe him. When some donation mechanism is sorted out, remember to reimburse James.
