Retrocon V2 (retrovol icon color changer)

Post by PipzDex »

Hello forum
I share with you this modification that I made to retrocon...
the utility to change the color of the volume tray icon...

Original script extracted from retrovol 0.15 by Pizzasgood

the modification is made now in function of coloring the icon in two parts;

The first colors the "base" of the icon
the second colors the "level" of voumen

I show you how it looks in the end

I made this modification from the fact that in the dark themes the base was mixed with the background color making it "invisible" and only the part that was previously colored is visible ...

I hope you like it

Cheers !!

I took it down and gave it a run in Xenialpup64-7.5 but no change that I could see . Is it for 64 bit or 32?
Ill have to have a little look see.

Mmm ok I have to run your executeable OK
When I do so the icon which started as green then simply becomes white and stays that way so something in your code is in need of a tweak.

I do see you are using a later precise than the one I used to use and perhaps you have updated the kernel too?
Anyway perhaps you can work out why the icon now loses all colour and goes white?
Hmm a couple of tries and it finally looks like the colour changer does not always work . Not your code I think rather a basic problem with the colour changer itself.

Your page above does not let me see anything?
Interesting ...Thanks
