Just a notification that with barryk's approval i'm starting a new Quirky based on Debian Bookworm.
It's with a proof-of-concept format at this stage, not a general release so don't expect it to suddenly appear as a working system. It might appear as a beta as i have in the past with qtpuppy and a few others for external testing, but maybe not.
The version at this point will be Quirky 0.10.xx. Since there are Quirky 0.9.x's out there it was decided 0.10.xx would be suitable for it's version numbering.
It's due to the number of different puppy/quirky versions i've been maintaining for my animation/manga creation/scanlation groups and like others i'm growing older, 14 is just too many to keep up.
Initially it will be x86-64 only, but will eventually also be aarch64 and maybe x86 also as some use tablets of that era.
It's built on top of the quirky portion of barry's woofq as it's what i have built and maintained with in the past so don't expect it to be a puppy.
It may also have the sugarlabs system on the desktop as one of the variations, if I can get the function lists to work with quirky. The function lists are currently used for what icons appear on the desktop for differing age groups, although i've modified mine to assign the icons depending on the users tasks. However it's not on jwm at this point.
EDIT: 27 sep: i'm putting this on hold for a couple of weeks, I shall try a build again, as i'm finding packages from the bookworm packageset, (not pets) that are looking for the same library package but at different versions, updates to the packageset is appearing daily so their obviously on to it.
